Introduction

Zatchels is a small independent leather goods manufacturer based in Leicester, UK. We hand‑make satchels, handbags and accessories in our own workshop using traditional British craftsmanship. We are committed to ensuring that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and exploitation have no place in our business or supply chain.

Our business and supply chain

Zatchels products are designed and handmade in our Leicester workshop by our in‑house team.
We do not use overseas factories or mass‑production facilities.

We source our raw materials and components from reputable UK suppliers who are expected to comply with all applicable labour, human rights and health and safety laws, and to uphold high ethical standards.

We operate a zero‑tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. Within our business we are committed to:

Fair employment: All staff are employed voluntarily, receive fair wages, and work in safe conditions.
No forced or child labour: We do not use forced, bonded or involuntary labour, and we do not employ underage workers.

Because our production is entirely UK‑based and carried out by our own employees in a single workshop, we consider the risk of modern slavery within our direct operations to be low.

We encourage awareness of ethical labour practices within our team and ensure that management remains informed about legal obligations and best practice relating to modern slavery and human rights. Any concerns can be raised directly with senior management and will be investigated promptly.

We are committed to reviewing and, where necessary, strengthening our policies, procedures and supplier checks to ensure ongoing compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and to uphold high ethical standards across our business and supply chain.
